With each article on this site, I seek to reveal a new aspect of today’s Chinese society by sharing my personal observations of life in China and the Chinese people without holding anything back or allowing political correctness to get in the way. I’ve lived in China for 8 years. While here, I have worked as an English teacher in 1st, 2nd and 3rd tier cities, started, operated and sold off my own English education center, have been a part-owner of a bar and a modeling agency, and have assisted American companies with negotiations, sourcing and quality control with Chinese suppliers. My site may interest you if you are living in China or are considering visiting or working here, as well as if you plan to do business with the Chinese, or if you simply want to better understand the mentality of a people who are extraordinarily different from Westerners. Sometimes controversial, but always rational, I also give real, unapologetic advice that most other “old China hands” are not willing to share. My latest article: How to Get Paid to Be a Fake Foreigner in China.
